Vera Kachouh is an artist and writer. Her recent work examines the intersections of history, memory, and landscape through a range of conceptual practices. From a collection of found photographs of bodies of water (Other Bodies, 2009) to a film meditation on an abandoned building in the war-torn village of Souk el Gharb, Lebanon (The House in Souk el Gharb, 2010), her work explores the emotional space between the past and the present.
