Hello!

I’ve worked for over a decade as a content marketer and brand strategist, putting words to paper for burgeoning brands and helping companies find their “voice.”

In the off hours, I dream about food, plan meals, and bake any chance I get. In 2011, heartbroken and lost, I started a blog (on that ancient press Blogger) called The Moon In My Kitchen. Then, in 2020, a marriage and a child later, inspired by the pandemic lockdown and related culinary ingenuity, I returned to writing and cooking. 

My food is influenced by my Lebanese-German roots, my mother (who always cooked and baked things that looked and tasted beautiful), my cash-poor upbringing in Washington Heights (home of the best platanos maduros), my Italian husband who is obsessed with pie, and a voracious, opinionated toddler. 

I live in California, but spend a lot of time thinking about moving to Italy, where the figs burst from the trees in audacious jolts of sweetness and a near-constant preoccupation with food is mere commonplace.
